Roomers Baden-Baden to open in 2016

Businessmen Micky Rosen and Alex Urseanu have created an icon in the hotel landscape of Frankfurt with the Roomers Hotel and its award-winning design and service culture. And now their lifestyle and luxury brand is being brought to the Black Forest, to the internationally renowned spa and culture town of Baden-Baden.

The landowner and promoter behind the project is Franz Bernhard Wagener, one of Baden-Baden’s top retailers. The entire building complex at a prime site directly opposite the Festspielhaus comprises a hotel, a medical centre, apartments and an underground car park. Roomers Baden-Baden is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2016.

The new luxury hotel will boast 130 spacious rooms and suites, banqueting and conference rooms, and a spa. The restaurant and bar on the ground floor will feature an adjoining patio. The fifth and top floor of the hotel, with its panoramic view of the town and its surrounds, is to be furnished with a lounge bar, roof garden, outdoor pool and sun deck. Akin to Frankfurt, where the Roomers Restaurant and Roomers Bar rank among the city’s most popular evening-out destinations, the hotel operators wish to create a venue for locals and visitors where they can immerse themselves in the fascinating Roomers lifestyle. Individuality and inspiration are at the very heart of the brand – dark and mystical in Frankfurt, full of magical light at the new site. “Baden-Baden is ready for a Roomers,” stated Micky Rosen and Alex Urseanu, owners of Gekko Management GmbH. “With Franz Bernhard Wagener on our side we have a strong partner with whom we can put our innovative hotel and catering ideas into practice.”

The design of the new construction in Lange Straße, Baden-Baden, is the work of local architects KHP, headed by Urban Knapp and Marcus Haedecke. Responsible for interpreting the investor and operator’s interior design visions is Italian designer Piero Lissoni. Being a fan of sensual minimalism, the top Milan architect has designed the rooms at Roomers Baden-Baden to be spacious and light. His timeless style uses natural tones to create a homely, elegant and refined ambience. “Guests who value a modern, urban lifestyle and wish to sense the spa town’s special flair will feel particularly at home in Roomers Baden-Baden,” added Micky Rosen and Alex Urseanu when describing the hotel’s target audience.
